I enjoyed our waiter. I enjoyed the inside interior of the bakery/dinner. The owner was engaging and sociable with all the patrons. Although my only issue was the amount of food on a first visit, I would go back, as the baked pastries (which I went to the diner for in the first place) were delicious, particularly the carrot cake and the peach cobbler! The food smelled great and looked great. Again, first visit went very well, and I would recommend it as a go-to spot in Holt Summit!
Been in Holt's Summit for two months and feel dumb for not going here earlier. Excellent homemade food,and extremely nice staff. This place should be packed every night.
Ordered a meat & cheese omelette--and the omelette, to be fair, was very good--but it came with what they call "breakfast potatoes", and what I call diced French fries, basically "tater tots". I told server I wanted hash browns; she left then returned with a few alternates, none of which were what I considered breakfast options. Then at checkout, the cashier/proprietor told me I have to ask for hash browns specifically, which was never explained or noted in the menu. That will be my last time to this restaurant, which I also think is overpriced. Also, if she had offered a small, 5% discount, that would have bought $5 worth of good will. I live next door, and a local place like that needs it's neighbors to survive.
They have fresh baked bread and buns at the restaurant made right there in the bakery. Big portions. Everything I've tried [practically the entire menu] tasted great. My favorites: the Tenderloin and the Kiss Cookies. It's clean and smoke free. Am proud to say that MiMi and Papa are 2 of my 3 kids. Most of the staff are family. Everyone should check them out.
This place has truly been life changing. The people there are so loving and kind, and my family always finds excuses to go. We have already decided that she is doing our wedding cake in 4 years. Papa is also amazing in the kitchen. His food is great, and this is seriously my favorite place to eat. Love love love.
